Major Research Programmes
Levay & Co. Environmental Services Pty Ltd has maintained a long-standing collaboration with research institutes and centres within the University of South Australia since our foundation. As a part of this collaboration, we have been active partners in many research programs together with staff and students from various research groups within the university. These research programs address a diverse range of issues, but have a common theme of water quality in relation to use in industrial application or environmental contamination. Topics range from acid and metalliferous drainage, through the impact of recycled process water on mineral processing operations, to adsorption processes for drinking water treatment. The findings of this research are subsequently applied by our staff to provide solutions for our clients. Several of our staff also hold adjunct positions with the University of South Australia providing access to extensive collections of scientific databases and modern instrumentation. All of this enables us to provide our clients with the most up to date advances in water quality analysis and treatment.
